Bodywork
My massage sessions are individually designed to meet the goals of my client. If you are thinking about getting a massage, probably you feel stiff or have specific pain. Rather than give you a general, one-size-fits-all-Groupon type massage, I will design a session just for you to address your issues, using all of my experience and training. I will look at your body, checking the way you stand; maybe ask you to walk a bit. This tells me more about the origin of the issues I will be addressing in the session. I see each person as an individual with his/her own unique body. I never do the same massage twice, not even on the same person!

To achieve the best result, each session includes time to get to know you, discuss your goals for the work, complete a 60, 75, or 90 minute massage, and post-massage follow-up. I may recommend exercises to help you keep tight areas stretched out, or to improve your posture. We schedule future appointments, and I can answer your questions.
The session itself uses an eclectic blend of the following techniques: Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, Myofascial Release a la John Barnes, scar tissue work, trigger point therapy, sports massage, craniosacral therapy, Ortho-bionomy, Zero Balancing, and many other bodywork styles addressing your structure and function, including some of my own innovation/creation. I use my strong background in anatomy, along with the many hands-on therapies I have studied, to create a healing experience for each client.
